linkbizkit vol. IV

It is that time again, and there is a few links that are worthy to share. Sites are becoming more and more rich in the multimedia experience. And, even if some like to ignore it, the 30-second spot is dying, a slow, and unnoticed death, something that I am really really happy about. The only thing that scares me is that there is many in our business that still are in a state of denial, but even they will wake up and smell the bandwidth very soon

Georgia Pacific Time Machine
The use of video is getting more and more common on Flash sites. It is essentially becoming the cornerstone of any flash site that is trying to push boundaries. This site sells green building materials. And it sells it in a rather convincing manner. I have to admit though that some of the scaling seems somewhat off. Especially the in bathroom. That counter looks huge with the two characters next to it, doesn’t it? But still it’s well worth a visit….

an agency formally known as Diesel
Diesel is dead, long live sid lee. The Montreal based agency just changed it’s name. Honestly I am somewhat amused by the change they chose. Essentially they did not go far enough. I do understand that they had to change, their unfortunate similarity with a heavy pollutant as well as the Italian clothing giant always baffled me, but choosing the name of a convicted Sex offender is not exactly what I had in mind when thinking of a name change for those guys. Mais bon, le choix est faite. So I whish them the best of luck. And I am sure that they will be winning many more awards, even with this new name…

Sort your life out
Not exactly up there with their previous realizations (like come into the closet or the 2 kitchen sites) but they still are stilll staying true to themselves, slick animations presenting some good photography’s.
so this new micro-site is still well worth a visit.

Explore Ibsen
In celebration of the centenial of Henrik Ibsen, his works are being re-published, and displayed where never seen before. This site gives us a whole new experience of this (the second most published playwright after Shakespeare) productive creative mind.
