A few years ago I started sending out more or less regular emails (posted them on my blog as well) to my colleagues at work that would contain links that I found amusing. The emails where appreciated, but they where, unfortunately just that; emails. Emails that, in this wonderful corporate world we operate in, drown amongst the hundreds of others we’d receive. Eventually some of my colleagues would join me in gathering these links for the email. But to better our gathering of these bizkits we decided to go dot com. Thus linkbizkits.com was born.
The core goal being, linking to anything worth linking to, but at the same time staying corporately neutral. At the time all participants where working at the same agency, but we have, since then, spread out across several agencies. We have kept our little project well alive and have managed to gather quite the following. But the web is a big place, and there is a lot to be linked to. So since a week now we are on a recruiting spree, trying to find new people that would be interested in participating. The rules are simple: No self promotion (or promotion of own work), write in English, post regularly (to long of a break will result in account deactivation) and all in all keep it ‘nice’.
Give me a shout if you would like to participate in the wonderful world of the ‘bizkits.
