some do, some don’t…

In 1999, for the first time Flash really ‘touched’ me. I mean I really got exited about the product, I had seen balthaser.com, and it was something atainable, something I could see myself create as well…

Time has gone by, 2Advanced (which now, btw, blocks my Ubuntu Linux, Firefox 3, Flash player 10 from getting in in the first place), Firstborn, North Kingdom passed by by my screen many times since. And everytime there was something new to see, or something something previously unseen to awe. Not at balthaser.com though. There they are still running the same soundtrack and the same animation. And it has been 10 years (!). Now does this mean their animation is really, their sales are so through the roof that they just don’t care, or…they just don’t care, fullstop…

anyway, I am writing all this cause I remembered another old favorite of mine. The german word for ‘The peasant’ but indecently it also translates directly to ‘The builder’ . I am, off course talking about Der Bauer, who, I don’t know since when, have aired version 6 of their site…and their animations still rock my screen…
