It is all in the explaining, so we invited the BBC Magazine Monitor Appreciation group to come up with ingenious excuses on their Facebook discussion board. Here are 10 of the best (in no particular order):

guerilla messaging

since two days now there is this printout of a letter all over Metro Bonaventure. I am wondering who is behind it. This is what it says:

Transports Quebec (with logo and all)

Le 1er Mai 2007
Avis a la population.

Le gouvernement du Québec via son ministère des transports a adopté une nouvelle loi qui entrera en vigueur le 1er juin 2007.

Cette nouvelle loi fait en sorte que a partir du 1er septembre, tous les BS qui décèdent seront obligatoirement incinérés. Leurs cendres seront par la suite récupérés pour être mélangé a de l’asphalte.

Le but de cette mesure est d’empêcher l’asphalte de travailler.
